I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the staff from Vostro who have been supporting me during the time of my study in Certificate IV of Community Services.

My classmates and I were running the winter appeal where we learnt to connect with community and get them on board in helping homeless people. We also did the food van with St Vincent de Paul and ran a project called “welcome” where we learnt to help new arrivals settle into the new cultures of Australia and be familiar with the support system.

Vostro had opened the door of opportunity in education for me and my future studies, where I never thought to dream off, as well as build up my literacy confidence and networking in the community sector.

If you are following your heart and passion about something, education can help make your voice be heard. With my very little English,
